Bio:
An ambitious young man with a vibrant energy, Sipho Nxumalo was born in Durban but raised in the humble streets of Pietermaritzburg, Kwa-Zulu Natal. He attended Scottsville Primary School and later moved to St Charles College, where he matriculated.
With him being unaware of his passion and craft of presenting and public speaking, he used to host local parties and would MC there, as well as school events. He was actively involved in school plays and theatre. Sipho got his first presenting job, in 2015, while doing a screening for an online radio station, and was scouted by a TV producer and auditioned for a TV show that aired on Tshwane TV called The Capital Breakfast Show. He started out doing inserts and interviews, then ended up co-hosting the show. There, he started his voice over and presenting
journey by doing voice overs for the show and their online radio station.
A year later, he entered the Hunters #BeTheChina search and reached top nationwide.
Most recently he featured in a short film by Zamo Mkhwanazi, titled ‘Sadla: The Prey, where he plays a supporting role. He then went on to further his career as a presenter, producer and voice over artist for ‘The Socials’, a fun, energetic and engaging TV show that covers the light-hearted side of sporting events through social media with, co-host Lalla Hirayama, that airs on Sports Connect TV.
